We are expanding our business areas in the Nordics and recently we have become the software reseller for Siemens PLM and CAD products for the Nordic region. In this connection, we are looking for a result-based Business Development Manager to achieve our sales targets for this new engagement. The role provides a very good opportunity to connect with different manufacturing companies and help them in their path to digital transformation. You would be dealing with cutting-edge technologies that are under continuous development by Siemens and PLM Nordic.


As a Business Development Manager at PLM Nordic, you get to help streamline and optimize the data and processes in the manufacturing industry by offering the best-in-class products and solutions to customers and projects in your region.

Job Description :

This is a full-time on-site role located in Bergen for a Business Development Manager. Remote or Hybrid work is an option but not preferred. The BDM is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining customer relationships, developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and achieving sales targets.

The role is permanent but result-based with a normal 6 month probation period. You are expected to work on achieving the quarterly sales targets set by the company. The company provides a commission on each of the successfully converted opportunities into order.


Responsibilities :

– Develop strategies and execute plans for the sale of Siemens Digital Industries Software’s PLM and CAD products like Teamcenter, NX, and SolidEdge within Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

– Sale of PLM Nordic Products and Services within the Nordic market.

– Understand the buyer’s business challenges and define the solution vision that clearly showcases the value of the above products and services.

– Identify and assess market opportunities and prospects, and lead business development and commercial activities within your region.

– Craft a story using in-depth product knowledge to provide functional and technical solutions to customers through sales presentations and product demonstrations.

– Customer relationships management, upscale and cross-sell other products and services.

– Lead product presentations, and web-based seminars, and participate in trade shows to demonstrate products and build relations with customers.

– Independently identify and cultivate the customer base and project opportunities.

– Coordinate with our technical teams globally.

– Register and follow up on sales leads, proposals, and projects, and help customers through the sales process, and contract negotiations.

– Utilize CRM systems such as Salesforce.

– Provide regular reports on sales activities to management.

– Continuously learn and grow your knowledge of the PLM and CAD products and your buyer’s industry trends.



– A proven track record in a similar sales-oriented role, ideally with a technical focus.

– A genuine interest in technology (CAD, PDM, PLM, ERP, DT) used by manufacturing industries.

– Strong communication and negotiation skills

– Knowledge of Teamcenter PLM and/or NX CAD services

– Understanding of engineering and digital transformation services

– Ability to understand customers’ needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements

– Excellent organizational and time management skills

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration

– Possess strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

– Ready to travel throughout the area approximately 30%.

– Independent and motivated.

– Fluent in English and one other Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish) is mandatory.
